Caliraya Mountain Spring Resort

Recently, I received an invite from my blogger friend about this overnight stay at Caliraya Mountain Spring Resort, without thinking twice I immediately confirmed her invite. We went together to this event with our 2 other college classmates. Originally, our weekend getaway should be Sept 20-21 but due to typhoon Mario, the organizer postponed the schedule the following weekend.

The organizer picked us up around 8:00AM in McDonald’s Marcos Hi-way. Two groups were picked up. Total of 8pax. The travel was not so convenient since we have to fit ourselves inside the Avanza.

After around 3-hours of travel, we reached our destination. Welcoming us is their clubhouse with wide space for dining overlooking their golf course and the Mt. Banahaw.

While waiting for the other groups, they provide us glass of Mango Juice. An hour had past and we headed inside their Air-Conditioned Dining room for our sumptuous Lunch. (Photos to follow)

Around 2 in the afternoon, our shuttle service arrived to bring us to their Marina to check in our things to their Anahaw Villas.

Actually there are lots of activities provided for us during the first day, but we opted to stay inside our villa to catch up with one another after 4 years of not seeing each other.

Around 5PM, we headed to their Fishing area to try to catch some Dory but after 30 minutes of waiting, we failed. After a slight disappointment, we went to the veranda to chill. We ate ice-cream while waiting for our shuttle to bring us back to the clubhouse for our dinner.

7PM our dinner was served. (Photos to follow)

After dinner, the organizer invited us for some Karaoke Night, we went inside but did not held any microphone to sing. But when we notice that only the 4 of us were left inside the karaoke room, we had our concert.

9PM when out shuttle arrived to bring us back to veranda for the bonfire activity. It took us about an hour before we successfully lit the fire due to the slight rain the poured few hours ago.

After the bonfire activity, we headed back to our villa to rest and sleep.

The following day, we woke up around 7 in the morning for the breakfast call. After breakfast, we had our Golf course tour. The 4 of us is a rotational driver of the golf cart we are riding during the entire tour. The view was spectacular yet the pathways were a bit scary and deadly. Due to the ups and downs and sharp turns of the terrain.

We also did tried the tandem bike which is quite difficult to use the first time but everything went well after few minutes.

They took us back to Marina for the main event. The Obstacle Course. All of the participants were divided into two groups.  The following were part of the course we took.

After the cardio-like activity, we dipped in their almost-infinity pool to relax our heavily used muscle from the course. Then we headed back to the clubhouse for our late lunch and checked out around 4:00PM.  (Photos to follow)

Plan your trip - Amansinaya Mountain Resort

HOW TO GO TO AMANSINAYA MOUNTAIN RESORT

1.) Took a bus going to Tanauan, Batangas (roughly around Php120.00 from Cubao)
       * What happened to me:
           - Bus going to Turbina (Php89.00)
           - Ordinary Bus going to Tanauan (Php11.00)

2.) From Tanauan City proper, ride a Public Utitlity Jeepney going to Laurel (Php45.00)
       * Terminals are located at the back of McDonald's
       * You have an option to ride a tricycle from Laurel going up to Amansinaya or you can negotiate to the Jeepney driver to go directly at Amansinaya and pay additional charge of P50.00 per head

Note:
1.) Public Utilities are only available until 4:00 in the afternoon.
2.) Be sure to contact your Jeepney driver to what time he will fetch you.
3.) Locals offers Jeepney ride going to Tanauan Proper Php1,500.00 but we successful haggle the price to Php1,200.00 with the same driver we used that morning.

Amansinaya Experience will be posted soon! :)

Aqua Park - Amansinaya (Part 3of3)

After our trekking, we asked the shuttle driver to proceed immediately to Aqua Park, so not to waster too much time. But upon our arrival to the said Aqua Park, it was a big disappointment to see that the Aqua Park you are expecting is just only 1 swimming pool! What the used of the word "Park".

Anyway, we just enjoy ourselves on what we have and just stay for about an hour and we return back to Patio Filipino to just relax at their gazeebo like structure and order Lomi to pair with the cool breeze. :)

Over-all, we enjoy our whole day day-trip cared of vouchers from Ensogo!

Trekking to Ambon Ambon Falls - Amansinaya (Part2of3)

We stayed at Patio Filipino until 1:00PM, but during the "lunch break", rain heavily pours and we even thought that we cannot push thru with our Ambon Ambon Trekking. So we decided to dip into the infinity pool at Patio Filipino and spend the rest of the time there. Luckily, as time approaching 1:00PM, rain started to fade and we were called for our Trekking, which is part 2 of our day tour.

Ambon Ambon Falls is said to be 30 minute trekking from the road. During the trekking, you will enjoy the forest like environment that surrounds you. You will cross 3 rivers with just so right current during our trip and a hanging bridge.

As we approach the second base, we were told that we cannot proceed going up since the weather is unpredictable and there is no available space to shelter when the rain started to fall again. So we just had this mini-falls though. haha! =)

Pugad Lawin Camp - Amansinaya (Part 1of3)

The voucher that I bought from Ensogo last May is now set to materialized!

P1,575 for 5 pax, multiply it by 2 for 10 pax = P3,150.00 equivalent to P315.00 per head
for an original price of P750.00 per head :)

Good deal? yes!

We supposed to be in Tanauan Batangas by 5:00AM as per our original schedule to catch the first batch of the day tour but being pinoy, we rode the bus going to Turbina around 5:00AM from cubao :)

Unfortunately, the jeepney we were riding had blown it's tire somewhere in Talisay. So we waitied almost 30minutes just so the driver would be able to replace the flat tire.

Then, when we reached Laurel proper, we simply asked the driver to take us directly to Amansinaya and just had an additional P50.00 per head charge. When we reached the entrance of the Resort, the guard on duty noticed the the replaced tire also worn off.

So the guard called the admin to fetch us thru their service at their main entrance, and we just negotiate to the jeepney driver to fetch us around 5:30PM. (hoping that his tires will all be okay)

When we arrived, the guide brief us about Amansinaya and it's amenities. Since we didn't able to catch the first batch for the trekking at ambon ambon cave, he scheduled us to the last batch at 1:00PM. Instead, we place our lunch in advanced so that when we came back from our first activity, we will not wait longer. :)

I don't have photos of the food, but it was great and at cheap price! :)

The shuttle send us to Pugad Lawin Camp as our first stop for our day trip.

Pugad Lawin Camp is best for team building. It provides
     1) Wall Climbing
     2) Zip Line
     3) Mud Slide
     4) Giant Soccer Ball
     5) Rope and Obstacle Courses
